Last month, we began a fundraising campaign to purchase sewing machines and start-up supplies for several young entrepreneurs at one of our shelters in India. Six young people were asking for sewing machines to be donated to them. This particular shelter is located in an incredibly impoverished area of southern India. Real economic opportunities are few and far between, making it difficult to break free from the cycle of poverty.

We are happy to announce that all of the requested sewing machines and start-up supplies have been donated! As a source of income and skills-building, these sewing machines will provide economic freedom for these individuals. The generosity of these sponsors will make a direct impact on the livelihoods of these young entrepreneurs in our shelter. We look forward to keeping you updated on their progress and success.
