FACTORS Behind orphanhood
Most of the kids in this shelter are here because of the 2015 earthquake in Nepal. Roughly 9,000 people were killed in this natural disaster. Thousands of homes were destroyed, with some villages flattened completely. Because of this damage, the resources and humanitarian aid were not enough to help every orphaned or homeless child.
Prospects
This shelter takes care of ten children, along with five outside the shelter who receive home-based education scholarships. The goal of our Nepalese directors is to raise the children under God’s love, teaching them that Jesus saves. Then, they plan for the children to return to their home village once old enough to become a local missionary in their own town.
