In late 2020, we reached our fundraising goal to purchase sewing machines and start-up supplies for six young entrepreneurs at one of our shelters in India. After delivering the funds, the machines and supplies were finally purchased and delivered this past month to five girls and one boy.
A vehicle was arranged so that all six sewing machines were delivered to their new owners on the same day. According to the shelter director, they were all very grateful for the donors’ support and happy to have their own sewing machines.
